About 25 "models" — men,
women, and children who
are living with cancer — model
fashions from more than 30 national and local Seattle
retailers and designers. The models share their truly
inspiring stories at this annual event.
At the May 2005 event, Gilda's Club Seattle honored Dr. James Bianco
with their 2005 Corporate Visionary Award. “Dr.
Bianco has made it his life’s mission to make cancer more treatable
by pursuing less toxic and more effective chemotherapy
drugs,” said
Anna Gottlieb, founder and executive director of Gilda’s Club
Seattle. “He
also understands that people living with cancer need
more than medicine. His support of Gilda’s Club Seattle is actually
helping to make cancer more livable.”
